Volunteer Program Fees

Kathmandu Summit Adventure is a locally operated, affordable volunteer program fees and sustainable adventure company that offers meaningful volunteering, internship, and responsible tourism programs throughout Nepal. Our initiatives are powered by the passion and commitment of our volunteers, supporters, and travelers and are designed to uplift some of the most impoverished and vulnerable communities in the country.

As a premier yet affordable adventure and service company, our volunteer program fees are intentionally kept lower than many international providers. All contributions go directly into supporting local operations, ensuring that your involvement has a direct and lasting impact. Volunteer program fees help us maintain and run smoothly educational, environmental, and community-based initiatives across Nepal.

We are deeply grateful to all the individuals who have participated in our programs over the years. It is because of your support that we have been able to bring lasting change to the lives of hundreds of underprivileged children and communities. Your journey with us not only creates unforgettable memories but also becomes a part of something truly transformative.

Program reservation fee:  A 100 dollar program reservation fee is a non-refundable fee which covers processing your application and pre-departure support and will be deducted from the program fee.

Note: 100 USD will be charged each week for teaching in the monastery program only after completing four weeks. Volunteers and interns working at hospitals will be additionally charged a weekly fee of 60 – 75 USD depending on the hospital.

Volunteer program fees include the following:

• Airport pick up and drop off
• Accommodation and food during your stay from your arrival at the airport to the last day of your work
• In-depth program orientation, cultural and language training
• Service of receiving assistance and guidance for exploring the cultural landmarks and attractions of the city of Kathmandu
• Accommodation will be arranged with fully trained local host families or monasteries
• 24/7 help and support availability of Kathmandu Summit Adventure staff
• Program, visa and pre-departure support
• Program fundraising support and child sponsorship program
• Help and support for booking any further tour or trekking program in Nepal

Volunteer program fees do not include the following:

• Nepal’s visa fee
• International and domestic flight tickets
• Vaccinations, travel insurance, immunization, health expenses etc
• Stationery during the volunteering period if you wish to use the setting
• Transportation during weekend travel
• Entrance fees to the cultural heritage – main cultural sites
• Transportation costs for the volunteers who want to work outside the Kathmandu Valley
• If you need to work at multiple locations, there will be an additional charge of $40 to cover logistics and transportation expenses

How to pay your program reservation deposit:

Online Payment: You are able to pay the program reservation online now to book your trip to Nepal. You are requested to make the 100 USD payment per person in advance in order to confirm the program, and it will be automatically calculated and deducted from your total program fee.

Bank/Swift Transfer: You can pay the deposit through the Swift Bank transfer as well, and our bank detail is given below for the bank transfer.
