Day 03: Drive from Kathmandu to Soti Khola Trek:

We travel from Kathmandu to Arughat through Dhadingbesi, the administrative headquarters for the Dhading district, on a 7-hour trip across the western Himalayas. Arughat, a significant town in the area, is split into two halves by the Budhi Gandaki River, which flows between them as we go through the dirt road from Dhadingbesi while admiring the verdant hills. We continue to Soti Khola, where our adventure for the trek begins. It is a seven-hour drive. We spend the night in a trekking lodge at Soti Khola. Overnight stay at the campsite at Soti Khola. Overnight stay in Soti Khola. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 04: Soti Khola to Machha Khola Trek:

Cross the bridge and trek through the beautiful Sal forests, then climb onto a ridge above huge rapids on the Budhi Gandaki. The rocky trail then weaves its way up and down, past two tropical waterfalls on a steep, rocky trail clinging to the side of a cliff. It eventually makes its way down and past a few rice terraces, then up and around to the Gurung village of Labubesi. Climb behind a rocky outcrop, where the valley opens and the Budhi Gandaki meanders among wide gravel bars. Drop to the sandy river bed and walk along rounded stones before climbing over a side ridge. Head down again to the river and traverse to Machha Khola village. Overnight stay in Machha Khola. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 05: Machha Khola to Jagat Trek:

The narrow trail makes some minor ups and downs and eventually crosses the Tharo Khola, flowing in a rocky ravine, then reaches Khorlabesi. After a few more ups and downs there is a small trailside hotspring, from where we reach to Tatopani. From the Hot spring we climb over another ridge, then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a suspension bridge. Climb on a wide, well-crafted staircase, then across a landslide and over a ridge to Dobhan. Crossing a suspension bridge over the Dobhan Khola, the trail climbs on a rugged trail to Duman. Ascending up again to the Budhi Gandaki, we reach Yaru Khola. Crossing a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola we climb the stone stairs and then drop to the river and again climb more stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Cross to the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki, climb over a ridge, trek along the river then climb towards the village of Jagat. Overnight stay in Jagat. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 06: Jagat to Deng Trek:

We begin today’s trek by climbing over a rocky ridge to Salleri, and then descend to Sirdibas. The valley widens a bit as the trail continues up to Ghatta Khola. We further continue walking upstream to a long suspension bridge in Philim, a large Gurung village. The trail turns north just above the lowest house in the village and stays on a fairly level trail as it crosses millet fields to Ekle Bhatti. The route now enters a steep, uninhabited gorge. At this point, we descend to the grassy land slopes, cross the Budhi Gandaki, then trek along the west bank for a while, then cross to the east bank and then back again. As we continue through the trail the valley widens and we pass through bamboo forests to the Deng Khola. Upon crossing the Khola, we reach the tiny village of Deng. Overnight in Deng..

Day 07: Deng to Namrung Trek:

we cross the Budhi Gandaki and climb to Rana at 1910m. From the bridge, we climb a bit to join a trail from Bhi, then head west up the Budhi Gandaki valley. The trail also passes through forests and mani where we turn towards a corner that contours to Ghap. Even though there is another route, we take the route through Prok village. Prok village has a viewpoint for a beautiful sight of Siringi Himal. We further cross the Budi Gandaki several times today and come across several gompas en route. The trail follows the river upstream through a dense forest. After crossing the river at an impressive spot where it thunders down a narrow gorge, the forest becomes less dense and the trail is fine again. The pleasant walk continues and after a last steep climb, we reach Namrung. Overnight in Namrung. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 08: Namrung to Sama Gaon Trek:

Namrung village is a good viewpoint for Siring and Ganesh Himal and from the village, one can also see Mt. Himal Chuli in the south. We climb steadily and pass through forests and reach Lihi, a fine village with many chortens and barley terraces. The trail drops and crosses the side valley of Simnang Himal with Ganesh Himal always close by. We further pass through Sho, Lho and Shyala villages before reaching Sama Village. We enjoy extraordinary views of Mt. Manasly from Lho village and also explore the famous Ribung Gompa. In Shyala village we will be surrounded by high mountains like Himal Chuli and Peak 29 (Ngadi Chuli) to the left, Manaslu and large glaciers straight ahead, and other snow summits to the right, and at the far end stands Ganesh Himal. Overnight stay in Sama Gaon. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 09: Acclimatization Day at Sama Gaon:

We spend the day at Samagaon both for rest and acclimatization. Today, we get acquainted with the rich Sherpa culture. We enjoy the sight of thousands of mani stones with Buddhist texts and pictures and the Sherpa women clad in traditional clothes and ornaments. On a little hill near the Sama village is an old Gompa (Pungyen Gompa), a monastery with great views of the glacier. It is named after Manaslu, Pungyen means bracelet, a good description of the two peaks. It was destroyed a year after the first unsuccessful Japanese attempt to climb Manaslu. The locals believed that the climb angered the gods, and when the Japanese came back a year later they met with a lot of resistance that they had to give up their attempt. They were finally successful in 1959. Overnight stay in Samagaon. Overnight stay in Nile. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 10: Sama Gaon to Samdo Trek:

We descend to the Budhi Gandaki River, which has turned north and follow it to a bridge over a side stream. The trail to the left leads to the Manaslu Base camp. The Larkya la Trail passes several mani walls as the valley begins to widen. It is an easy trail on a shelf above the river passing the juniper and birch forests of Kermo Kharka. We drop off the shelf, cross the Budhi Gandaki on a wooden bridge and climb steeply onto a promontory between two forks of the river. From a stone arch, we can view a large white kani. Finally passing through the kani we find Samdo. Overnight in Samdo. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 11: Samdo to Larke La Phedi Trek:

We will walk through the Larke Bazaar, a transient Tibetan market. Soon after you start your trek, you pass the wooden bridge and two streams while seeing the Larkya Glacier. To get to Larkye La Phedi, popularly known as Dharamshala, we shall cross the Salka Khola Valley. We will walk past a few old-fashioned monasteries on the route. It takes 4 hours to go to Larkye La Phedi, where you have lunch amidst breathtaking mountain views and blue sheep grazing on bare hillsides. Overnight stay in Larke La Phedi. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 12: Larke La Phedi to Bhimtang via Larke La Pass Trek:

Today’s walk will be strenuous as you pass Larkya La Pass at 5106 meters. We set off early in the morning on our journey. To reach the summit of Larkye La Pass, we ascend along a steep and meandering terrain. The sunrise can be seen over Larkya Peak, Mt. Manaslu, Ratna Chuli, Cheo Himal, and many other snow-covered summits from the top. To get to Bimthang, you must descend a rough and cold path. It had been an exhausting 8-hour trip. You will have your lunch in Phedi. Overnight stay in Bimthang. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 13: Bhimtang to Dharapani Trek:

you leave Bhimthang behind and proceed to traverse a high grassland before descending the Burdin Khola valley. You descend to a rhododendron woodland after crossing a bridge across the Dudh Khola’s headwaters. The trail continues through a little valley until you reach Karche, the highest farmed land in this valley at 2,785 meters. After crossing a stream, you arrive in Tilje. From there, it takes an hour of incline to reach Dharapani. The hike takes 7 hours to get to Dharapani from the morning you check out your lodging. Overnight stay in Dharapani. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 14: Dharapani to Koto Trek:

Koto is a tiny village where the Gurung people, among other ethnic groups, predominate. To get to Koto from Dharapani, you must hike along the trail that gradually climbs. The trail follows the Marshyangdi River and passes through Bagarchhap village, offering a great view. On the route, you will take in breathtaking vistas of the Manaslu range, Annapurna II, and thick forests. Overnight stay in Koto. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 15: Koto to Meta Trek:

You will leave the Manaslu trekking route behind and step onto Nar Phu Valley. You will hike through the natural wonders of dense pine forests, rivers, waterfalls, and water streams. After walking past the checkpoint and crossing a bridge leading to the valley, we reached the Nar Phu Valley. As we cross Dharamshala, the forest becomes thinner, and you trek a steep ascent to finally reach Meta, a heavenly village with up-close views of the snow-topped mountains. Overnight stay in Meta. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 16: Meta to Phu Gaon Trek:

The trail starts out going up and down. You hike for hours till you arrive in Kyang after crossing suspension bridges over numerous streams. You may view the ruins of the Khampa settlement here, particularly the crumbling forts (the place where Khampa refugees from Tibet once captured and lived). You get to Phu Gaon after passing the Phu Khola on a rugged trail. Overnight stay in Phu Gaon. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 17: Excursion around Phu Valley:

To make the rest day at Phu Valley exciting, we’ve planned out an excursion around the valley. We’ll take you to the Kharka (summer grazing village) at Ngoru. After passing the gompa, it takes a 3-hour hike up the valley to reach Kharka. Phu itself is an extraordinarily fascinating village where you can witness the locals spinning their yak and sheep wool and chat with them. Overnight stay in Phu Valley. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 18: Phu Gaon to Nar then crossing Nar Pass Trek:

Today’s route turns down to a river before returning to Junam Kharka. After that, you make your way back up the historic bridge that formerly crossed a deep, narrow gorge. Before turning the bend and being rewarded with breathtaking views of Nar, you will pass by yet another row of exquisitely painted, bamboo-topped chortens and a big-tiered chorten on your way to the Nar gate at the top of a hill. Overnight stay in Nar. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 19: Exploration around Nar Village:

Nar has a livelier atmosphere to it as compared to Phu. The “square” of the hamlet is crowded with women chatting while working on back-strap looms to weave wool fabric for rugs and blankets, press mustard seeds for oil, or spin the ubiquitous wool while reading the paper. Villagers can be seen going about their everyday tasks, such as printing prayer flags, working on carpentry projects, gathering wood from the forest, harvesting crops, caring for yaks, sheep, and goats, and turning the prayer wheels in the town square.

On the rest day at Nar Village, you can tour the village and observe locals working on their crafts. You may try and learn some of the skills only the Nar villagers can do. Overnight stay in Nar Village. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 20: Nar Village to Ngawal via Kang La Pass Trek:

Today is the day you cross the third and final mountain pass of the Manaslu Nar Phu Valley Trek. After a hearty breakfast in Nar, we begin our ascent towards Kang La Pass. Although it’s not very difficult, crossing Kang La Pass can take a while if there is snow on the pass. You may witness breathtaking views of Annapurna II, Mt. Gangapurna, Tilicho Peak, and many other nearby peaks from the summit of the pass. Overnight stay in Ngawal. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 21: Ngawal to Pisang Trek:

Today is the last day of your trekking in the Himalayas. It is going to be a hike of around 5 hours from Dharapani to Jagat. The trail is relatively easy and it descends towards Jagat. You have your lunch upon reaching Jagat and rest for the day. Overnight stay in Pisang. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 22: Pisang to Dharapani Trek:

We are moving towards the end of our Manaslu with Nar Phu Valley Trek as we hike further down from Pisang to Dharapani. Dharapani is a village in the Manang district between the Annapurna and Manaslu regions. It is often taken as the starting point of the Annapurna Circuit Trek and the endpoint of the Manaslu Circuit Trek. Overnight stay in Dharapani. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 23: Dharapani to Jagat Trek:

Today is the last hiking day. We begin our day with a yummy breakfast at Dharapani and continue with a hike to Jagat. You’ll pass by forests, tiny settlements, and agricultural fields, making you feel like you’re back to civilization. Jagat is where we finish our long trekking journey. Overnight stay in Jagat. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Day 24: Drive from Jagat to Kathmandu:

On the last day of the trekking trip, we ride a local jeep from Jagat to Beshishar and then a local bus to Kathmandu. It will take you a long, tiring drive of almost 8 hours to return to the busy streets of Kathmandu. You will be transferred to your hotel to get freshen up before joining us for your farewell dinner.
